From Derek Pake: It was my privilege to take Geoffrey up in WeeVans RV with his keeper for the day, Kate Turner.
We took off from Prestwick in Scotland and headed up over the islands towards Arran, where we hoped to do some low level ducking and weaving through the stunning mountains, but alas the air was too turbulent, and we didn’t want poor Geoffrey to bring up his breakfast 🤢 So we flew around the clouds, intercepted the Dutch frigate HNLMS Tromp, and then landed on the Isle of Bute for some lunch and acacia leaves 🍃 🦒
Heading back home, we climbed up through some gaps in the cloud and did a few aileron rolls and barrel rolls, at Geoffrey’s insistence 🤷♂️ Then it was back down the coast to Prestwick for tea and medals before the rain started.
We think Geoffrey had a wonderful day, and hopefully we will have some more great trips lined up for him from Prestwick and Scotland 🏴 🦒❤️
